At the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, scientific discussions aimed at enriching the content of the exposition dedicated to the “First Renaissance” era are steadily ongoing. As an international expert, Mr. Sali Shahsavari, Director of the Al-Furqan Islamic Heritage Foundation, is working on developing the video content scripts to be presented in the “First Renaissance” section capsules of the museum exposition.
He is collaborating with Italy’s “Magister Art” design company to visually present historical images and documents. At the same time, Mr. Shahsavari emphasized the importance of ensuring that the information drawn from sources is both scientifically and theologically accurate and well-founded.

The exposition will feature the original manuscript of Kitab at-Tawhid by Imam Abu Mansur Maturidi, one of the leading figures of Islamic intellectual heritage, while a copy of his work Ta’wilat al-Qur’an is planned to be displayed as well. Additionally, the renowned work Tabsirat al-Adillah by Abu Mu’in al-Nasafi, who deeply studied Maturidi’s teachings, is also set to be included in the exhibition showcases.
During the discussions, it was proposed to present the legacy of these scholars not only through physical displays but also in audio and video content formats. The aim is to offer visitors a broad and cohesive understanding of how Islamic theology, philosophy, and the science of kalām flourished in Central Asia during the 9th–10th centuries.
This exposition will serve as an important medium for conveying the intellectual and spiritual achievements of the “First Renaissance” era to the wider public through modern museum technologies.
