An educational dialogue between Mecca and Tashkent: collaboration between Ilm company and the Center of Islamic Civilization discussed
🔴 What is Ilm, and why do we need it?
🔴 Why was the Saudi experience chosen?

Representatives of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, the Imam Bukhari International Research Center in Samarkand, and the committee on religious affairs under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan held an online meeting with the leadership of the Ilm company, located in the city of Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
The meeting was attended by Firdavs Abdukhalikov, Director of the Center of Islamic Civilization; Shovosil Ziyodov, Director-General of the Imam Bukhari center; relevant committee officials; and Usama Al-Khattabi, Head of client relations at Ilm.
The primary focus of the meeting was on effectively organizing the flow of visitors, providing high-standard services to guests, and properly designing visitor routes at the centers. To this end, an agreement was reached to establish cooperation with Ilm, a company that possesses extensive experience in organizing major pilgrimage events such as Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia.
The head of the Center emphasized that this cooperation initiative is a logical continuation of the reforms and educational movement being carried out under the leadership of the President.
“We are firmly committed to working together to achieve these goals. Such cooperation is not only a key step in effectively organizing the activities of our centers, but also plays an important role in strengthening the cultural and spiritual ties between our two countries”.
Ilm representative Usama Al-Khattabi also expressed his satisfaction with the meeting, stating:
“In fact, we should be learning knowledge from you. After all, great thinkers Imam Bukhari, Ibn Sina, Beruni, and others emerged from your land. We fully recognize them, and their scholarly legacy flourished within your civilization. The insights shared during today’s meeting are of great importance to me”.
At the conclusion of the meeting, an agreement was reached to invite Ilm specialists to Uzbekistan and to organize special training sessions for the Center’s staff.
In particular, an official visit of Ilm representatives to Tashkent is scheduled for August 20–23 this year. The program will include practical meetings, experience-sharing seminars, and initiatives aimed at improving the Center’s operations.
This collaboration is expected to contribute to the international promotion of Uzbekistan’s Islamic civilization heritage, the development of pilgrimage tourism, and the high-level presentation of Islamic knowledge and enlightenment.
