Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s initiative is Uzbekistan’s gift to the whole world – Umar Abu Shaaf

According to Umar Abu Shaaf, Director of the Research Department of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s announcement from the UN podium about the upcoming opening of the Center for Islamic Civilization means openly declaring to the whole world that Uzbekistan possesses a great Islamic heritage which must be seen by all of humanity.

Umar Abu Shaaf, Director of the Research Department of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (Saudi Arabia):

“I am very proud to have visited the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan. The initiative to build this Center was announced by the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, from the UN podium, and this is Uzbekistan’s gift to the whole world. I toured the Center. It is very beautiful, a large Islamic-educational complex open to the entire world. God willing, I will return again to study more deeply the unique exhibits here and benefit from all of them. They are a true example of Islamic heritage and civilization, and all of humanity will benefit from them.

 

The forum was very impressive. I delivered a speech on behalf of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Scholars and thinkers took part, and I personally gained a lot of valuable knowledge and experience from them. They enriched the forum with their vast expertise, and undoubtedly, we all benefited greatly.

 

Frankly speaking, this is a tremendous and powerful initiative. Especially the fact that your President announced this project from the UN podium it is an open message to the entire world that Uzbekistan has a great Islamic heritage which must be seen by all humanity. This Center and its vision are a message from President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the world, and we consider this a source of pride and honor”.
