Ali Ilgar, Regional Director for CIS countries at “Outdoor Factory”:

Five years ago, “Outdoor Factory” began operations in our brotherly country Uzbekistan. We took part in major projects that make a worthy contribution to Uzbekistan’s culture.

Among the most significant of these was the project and construction of the “Pre-Islamic Era” section of the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan.

We believe this place will be of great importance for the whole world. We tried to tell the story of the ancient eras through modern technologies and, in our designs, placed the artifacts and unique objects at the center of attention while carefully recreating the spirit of the period through other elements.

The design of this section was carried out by our Managing Partner, Sinan Turaman.

In the Pre-Islamic Era section of the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, information is conveyed to visitors through special showcases, technological installations, and digital content.

What makes this section especially noteworthy is that it offers not just a simple and dull presentation, but an experience enriched with opportunities to listen, watch, and even touch, enabling visitors to truly feel the era.

The journey through the Pre-Islamic Era section begins with the Stone Age, followed by Bactria, Khorezm, the Great Silk Road, Sogdiana, and then the Fergana and Chach regions. Each section is presented through authentic exhibits combined with digital elements.

Particularly in the Fergana section, we take great pride in the underground model we created, the design of the “Horses from Paradise”, and the high-tech immersive room content. These interactive spaces bring us great joy because such approaches had no precedent in Uzbekistan before. Introducing this type of content to the younger generation and delivering it to future generations is a matter of pride for us.

The Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan has been under construction for eight years at the initiative of the esteemed President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. We are extremely pleased to have completed the design of the Pre-Islamic Era section in a short period just two months and handed it over on time. This Center holds great significance not only for Uzbekistan but also for the entire Islamic world.
