The library of the Center for Islamic Civilization has been further enriched: a valuable gift from a scholar from Baku
The library of the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan has been enriched with another valuable work. Dr. Ruboba Shirinova, Associate Professor and Senior Researcher at the Institute of Manuscripts of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, presented her book entitled “The Translation Monument of Yusuf Davlatoğlu’s ‘Manzum Fiqh’” to the Center.
In her remarks during the ceremony, the scholar expressed her impressions, noting that visiting Uzbekistan had long been her great dream:
“The harmony of ancient manuscripts, the works of great scholars, and modern technologies in this Center truly amazed me. Especially the artificial intelligence section it gave me the impression as if I were directly conversing with scholars of the past”, she said.
Ruboba Shirinova emphasized that the purpose of presenting her work was to leave a personal contribution to the Center. She also expressed her readiness for future joint research and academic cooperation on manuscripts.
The Azerbaijani scholar pointed out that there are many similarities between the works preserved in Uzbekistan and the manuscripts kept at their institute, adding that research is also being conducted on Ibn Sina’s “Al-Qanun”.
It is noteworthy that the Center for Islamic Civilization is expected to serve not only as a museum and library, but also as an important platform for scientific cooperation and cultural exchange.
“Building such a grand complex within eight years requires enormous effort. Many people have contributed to this work. I extend my gratitude to the architects who designed the project, and to everyone who built and raised this magnificent structure”, she stated.
