The Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan acknowledged Uzbekistan as the best example

At the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, the international congress titled “Central Asia: shared spiritual and educational heritage – shared future,” held on the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, is taking place in a highly uplifting atmosphere.

As noted by Adil Karimli, the Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan, this congress brings together scholars, intellectuals, and educators from Central Asia and Azerbaijan on a single platform, creating an opportunity to jointly study, analyze, research, and promote our common cultural ties.

Adil Karimli, Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan:

The Islamic Civilization Center built in Uzbekistan is an institution of great significance not only for our region but also for the entire Islamic world, and indeed for the whole world. The Center’s architecture, its external appearance, and its profound content have captivated all participants.

We believe that this Center of exceptional importance to the world will function in the future as a hub of culture, science, and education. It possesses remarkable depth and is rich in artifacts. The historical facts, artifacts, and manuscripts gathered here from all regions of Islamic civilization, including Central Asia and Azerbaijan, create tremendous opportunities for the Center’s future role in scholarship, education, and research.

Consider that these opportunities will benefit not only the peoples and researchers of Central Asia and Azerbaijan but also scholars, academics, and individuals of all ages around the world. On this occasion, we extend our congratulations to all our Uzbek brothers and sisters under the leadership of the esteemed President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev. This institution is truly a magnificent creation—one that will endure for centuries and astonish the world with its architecture and essence. Today, it can be regarded as one of the largest intellectual centers in the world, and this is a source of pride for all of us; we are delighted with the success of our Uzbek brothers.

This Center will be immensely beneficial for all our countries especially for our scholars, research institutions, and youth in studying, analyzing, researching, and promoting our shared cultural heritage to the world.

As emphasized in President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s congratulatory message to the congress participants, this Center represents one of the finest embodiments of the philosophical views of Islamic civilization grounded in science, enlightenment, and culture.

Certainly, cultural cooperation between the Central Asian and Azerbaijani states has been developing very dynamically in recent years. This has been shaped primarily by the sincere atmosphere, friendship, and brotherhood established by our heads of state. This cooperation is growing day by day in all fields, particularly in culture, science, and education.

Today’s congress also provides us with the opportunity to work together in studying, analyzing, researching, and promoting our shared cultural ties. Scholars, intellectuals, and educators from Central Asia and Azerbaijan are gathered on one platform and will make effective use of this opportunity. This congress plays an important role in strengthening our shared cultural relations, promoting our common history, researching our roots and introducing them to the world, strengthening the friendship between our peoples, and especially in developing our cultural cooperation.

It should be noted that the international congress titled “Central Asia: shared spiritual and educational heritage – shared future,” organized on the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, is currently being held at the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan.
