Central Asian and Azerbaijani artists shared one stage, presenting some of the finest examples of cultural diplomacy
Artists from Central Asia and Azerbaijan presented their creative works at the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan. Each piece reflected historical heritage and national spirit, leaving participants with a unique and memorable impression.
As part of the international congress “Central Asia: common spiritual and educational heritage – common future,” an international art exhibition titled “Central Asia: great past – great future” was held at the Central Exhibition Hall of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan.

Members of artists’ unions from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Azerbaijan, as well as young scholars, art experts, and creative professionals, attended the exhibition. They exchanged views on contemporary art processes, regional creative cooperation, and the importance of international joint initiatives.
Participants showed great interest in the exhibition, which showcased the diverse styles, artistic perspectives, and harmonious national colors of Central Asian art schools. The main idea was to elevate regional art and cultural cooperation to a new level, preserve shared historical heritage, and strengthen its foundations in contemporary culture.

As noted by Ibrahim Valikhodjaev, Chairman of the Creative Artists’ Union of Uzbekistan, the exhibition provided substantial spiritual enrichment not only for Uzbekistan but also for guest countries. Artists from each nation presented their finest works, demonstrating the uniqueness of their artistic traditions. Guest artists were awarded commemorative medals, marking an important step in strengthening regional cultural cooperation.

Agali Ibrahimov, Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijan Union of Artists, stated:
“This exhibition brings people together, because through art and history one can understand different nations. Each artist expresses their own truth and national spirit.”
It should be noted that the event was organized within the framework of the international congress “Central Asia: common spiritual and educational heritage – common future” under the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in cooperation with the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the World Society for the Study, Preservation and Popularization of the Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan (WOSCU), the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, and the Central Asia International Institute.
