A GATEWAY OF KNOWLEDGE OPENED FOR A NEW GENERATION OF LEGAL PROFESSIONALS

Master’s students of the Law Enforcement Academy who visited the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan were able in a single day to see the deep interconnection between history, enlightenment, and investigative practice. The modern exhibitions of this mega project in Uzbekistan, created on the initiative and vision of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the ancient sources, and practical discussions on combating corruption gave them important “signals” for their future professional activities.

A mobile training session was held at the Islamic Civilization Center for master’s students of the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan. During the training, participants were given detailed information about the religious and educational work, scientific research, translations, and their current significance carried out at the Center. In particular, it was emphasized that the scientific heritage of our ancestors is being translated in accordance with modern academic standards and that annotated academic editions are being prepared. It was noted that the content of these works offers scientifically grounded solutions to a number of societal problems and plays an important role in preventing extremism.

At the same time, special attention was given to issues of combating corruption during the meeting held at the Center. The participants were informed in detail that corruption is one of the greatest threats to state governance, the law enforcement system, and the stability of society, and that honesty, transparency, and responsibility are essential in combating it. Views were exchanged on the main problems encountered in the investigation of corruption-related crimes, the role of scientific approaches in their detection, and the importance of historical and spiritual heritage in shaping an anti-corruption culture.

Senior researcher of the Center, Abdushukurjon Muratov, during the training session, emphasized that the most powerful weapon in the fight against ignorance is books and knowledge, and shared explanations based on international experience.

“The experience of many countries shows that as public interest in reading increases, the level of crime in society steadily decreases. This is because books shape human thinking, broaden worldview, and strengthen critical thinking. At the Islamic Civilization Center, hundreds of historical sources are being republished with scientific commentary for exactly this purpose. The works of our ancestors are being translated into modern Uzbek and delivered to the public in an accessible form. Relying on knowledge, promoting reading, and correctly shaping the minds of young people are the most effective preventive mechanisms against any form of crime,” said A. Muratov.

The Islamic Civilization Center, established on the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, is increasingly gaining importance as a key place for enriching the worldview of students and youth through its scientific and educational environment, rare exhibits, and modern exhibitions. During the training, participants watched a documentary film about the history of the Center’s creation, which gave them a more complete understanding of the essence of the project and its place within the framework of educational reforms in the country.

After that, in order to see the practical representation of the presented information and the real scenes shown in the documentary, they visited the Center’s museum. In the main part of the visit, the master’s students received detailed information about ancient manuscripts, rare exhibits, digitized artifacts, and the modern scientific archiving system presented in the museum’s exhibitions.

Yulduz Mavlonova, Master’s Student, Law Enforcement Academy:

The exhibitions that vividly reflect historical events attracted me very much. In addition, the gold ornaments from the pre-Islamic period left a deep and unforgettable impression.

Valijon Sherzodov, Master’s Student, Law Enforcement Academy:

We saw an extremely wise approach in the construction and architectural solutions and the materials used. As our respected President has emphasized, this place serves as one of the great foundations for raising Uzbek culture and the enlightenment of our youth. During the sessions, we were told that ‘a person who enters this Center begins enlightenment anew; this is a unique space that motivates change and broadens thinking.’ While familiarizing ourselves with the museum’s exhibitions, we witnessed this ourselves. Here, our history is presented in a very rich, comprehensive, and impressive way. We are very pleased and express our gratitude first of all to our Head of State and the responsible organizations.

It should also be noted that one of the aspects that interested me the most was that at the entrance of the museum, the biographies of our great ancestors were presented in nine languages. This undoubtedly contributes greatly to increasing the tourism potential of our country.

Turgun Noraliev, Master’s Student, Law Enforcement Academy:

During our visit to the Islamic Civilization Center, created on the initiative of our President, we clearly saw all historical stages from the emergence of Islam to the present day, as well as the periods of the First and Second Renaissance, the Jadid movement, and the development path of New Uzbekistan. This place deeply and impressively demonstrates the most important pages of our history. We express our gratitude to our respected President, the Center’s leadership, and everyone who contributed to the creation of this great project for the Center’s activities and for creating such an opportunity for us.
