Mohammed Jalood: “Al-Khwarizmi is the founder of modern technology”

The President of the International Weightlifting Federation, Mohammed Jalood, visited the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, built on the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. He praised it, saying: “Uzbekistan is a sacred land, a great nation”.

Uzbekistan is consistently working to develop sports diplomacy, expand international cooperation, and enhance the country’s global prestige. Within this framework, the President of the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF), Mohammed Jalood, is currently in our country.

Today, Mohammed Jalood became acquainted with the museum exhibitions of the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan one of our nation’s significant cultural and educational institutions established at the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. He explored its content, modern multimedia solutions, interactive sections created on the basis of historical sources, ancient manuscripts, and digitized materials.

After the tour around the center, the IWF President shared his impressions as follows:

“Two years ago, I was here when construction had just begun. Today I am amazed I have never seen such a grand and meaningful museum in my life. This place takes you back thousands of years. Exhibitions based on artificial intelligence and interactive scenes give the feeling of a true journey into the past.

This is a sacred place that commemorates our ancestors. Great figures like Amir Temur and Al-Khwarizmi left an invaluable legacy not only for the Uzbek people but for all humanity. Without Al-Khwarizmi the founder of algebra there would be no modern technology today. That is why, for me, Uzbekistan is a sacred land, a great nation.”

Mohammed Jalood also expressed his gratitude to the people of Uzbekistan and the President for such a remarkable institution.
