The first volume of the monograph on the symbolic conceptual foundations of the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan has been prepared
A major scientific-publishing project has been implemented at the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan aimed at studying the symbolic and conceptual decorations of the building and presenting them to a wide audience. The main goal of the project is not only to examine the exterior and interior ornaments of the center but also to reveal their symbolic and logical meaning beyond their aesthetic appearance and convey this understanding to the public.

The thematic and conceptual aspects of this project and its monograph were reviewed and discussed during a scientific council session held at the Islamic Civilization Center. During the meeting, the Director and members of the academic council thoroughly discussed the project’s objectives, chapter structure, and visual concept.
As a result, the first volume of the monograph titled Symbolic Conceptual Foundations has been prepared for publication, and one sample copy has already been printed. This volume analytically examines the historical, cultural, and philosophical meanings of each pattern and symbol.

“To understand the symbols fully, one needs special knowledge and familiarity with the alphabet of signs. Therefore, this monograph will serve as a handbook for scholars and researchers, allowing them to uncover the symbolic logic of every part of the building — the gate, doors, minaret, and halls,” said Saidakhbor Bulatov, a researcher at the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan.
The first volume of the monograph has already been presented to several universities and academic institutions, receiving positive reviews from scholars. Based on this foundation, preparation of the second, third, and fourth volumes is now planned. These volumes are expected to be published in four languages — Uzbek, Russian, English, and Arabic.
The total size of the monograph is expected to be around 300 pages. In addition, a compact edition is also being prepared for comfortable use and as a memorable gift. Both editions are designed not only for visual appreciation but also to allow deep understanding of the analytical and symbolic meanings of each ornament.
The scientific importance of the project lies in the fact that it enables the study of the building and its ornaments not only from the perspective of art and design, but also through historical and symbolic interpretation. This will serve as a methodological base and resource for future researchers. Moreover, the monograph will help every visitor from children to adults fully grasp the spiritual and philosophical essence of the building and understand its symbolic structure.
The authors underline that this monograph can serve as a basis for producing videos, films, and further academic publications in the future. In this way, the monograph plays a significant role in presenting the symbolic and conceptual decorations of the Islamic Civilization Center to a wide audience and revealing their spiritual value.
