Are you aware of the greatest wealth and priceless treasure of the New Uzbekistan?

The “New Uzbekistan – the Foundation of a New Renaissance” exhibition
Gold medals, startups, millions of projects involving young people… Is this a coincidence, or the result of a deeply thought-out state policy? Is it true that the foundation of a New Renaissance is being laid by the force that makes up 60 percent of Uzbekistan’s population?
Today, 60 percent of Uzbekistan’s population is under the age of 30. This figure is not just statistics, but a tremendous force and potential that determines the country’s future. That is why, in the New Uzbekistan, youth policy has become one of the most important and priority directions of state policy. Sustainable development, the nation’s tomorrow, and the foundation of the Third Renaissance are inextricably linked precisely with educated, creative, and proactive young people.
In recent years, extensive efforts have been made to instill a love for art in young people and to unlock their creative potential. Today, across the republic, 840 cultural centers, 219 “Barkamol Avlod” children’s schools, and more than 93,000 clubs operate in over 10,000 general education schools. It is no coincidence that 12.4 million young people are involved in these creative spaces. The “Five Initiatives Olympiad,” held in five stages from the mahalla to the national level, has become a broad platform for discovering and showcasing the talents of more than 13 million young people.

The energy and determination of young people are also vividly manifested in sports arenas.
At the 33rd Summer Olympic Games held in Paris in 2024, Uzbekistan participated for the first time in history with 90 athletes across 19 sports. As a result, 8 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze medals were won, placing the country 13th in the overall medal standings. The 26 medals won at the Paralympic Games were recorded as the highest achievement in the history of Uzbek sports.
The national football team’s first-ever qualification for the World Cup and the victories of the U-17 national team at the Asian Cup clearly demonstrate that a new era has begun in youth sports.
Opportunities created in the fields of digital technologies and IT are enabling young people to showcase their intellectual potential on a global scale. The volume of services provided by IT Park residents has increased severalfold, with IT services exports reaching 140 million dollars.
The “One Million Programmers” project, the introduction of higher education programs in artificial intelligence, and the allocation of grants and subsidies for young programmers have laid a solid foundation for shaping a digital generation. The achievements of Uzbek youth in international robotics and esports competitions confirm the practical results of these reforms.

Enhancing youth spirituality and developing a culture of reading have also not been overlooked. Within the framework of the “Enlightenment Caravan” initiatives, millions of books have been delivered to young readers, and thousands of talented young people have been discovered through the “Young Reader” competition. The widespread introduction of audio and electronic books has turned reading into a modern and popular process.
The results achieved in increasing women’s employment and social activity also deserve special attention. Thousands of new jobs have been created, and preferential loans, grants, and education quotas have been introduced for women. Through the “Digital Generation Girls” project, thousands of young women are implementing their startup ideas in IT, artificial intelligence, and the green economy.
At the same time, broad opportunities have been created for young people to acquire modern knowledge and professions and to engage in entrepreneurship. As a result of fundamental reforms in the education system, coverage in preschool and higher education has increased significantly, and hundreds of young people are studying at prestigious universities around the world.
Through startup support, venture investments, and “Youth Business” programs, thousands of young people have gained the opportunity to secure sustainable sources of income through their own efforts.
Sharofat Yunusova, Research Fellow of the Center:
“The exhibition ‘Youth – the greatest wealth and priceless treasure of the New Uzbekistan,’ presented in the ‘New Uzbekistan – the Foundation of a New Renaissance’ section of the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, is a practical embodiment of this idea. It comprehensively reveals the opportunities created for young people in recent years, large-scale reforms, and the achievements attained.
This exhibition demonstrates that in the New Uzbekistan, youth are the decisive force of both the present and the future, and that the foundation of the Third Renaissance is being built precisely by educated, proactive, and patriotic young people.”
