About the Center

Islam, the religion of knowledge and enlightenment, which created the basis for the development of scientists who made an invaluable contribution to the world civilization of Central Asia. Preserving and studying the rich heritage of such great thinkers as Imam Bukhari, Imam Termizi, Imam Moturidi, Khorezmi, Fargani, Ibn Sina, Beruni, Mirza Ulugbek serves to spread the teachings of Islam in the world. This goal is also served by the activities of the Center for Islamic Civilization, established in Tashkent by the decision of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev dated June 23, 2017.

Samarkand Hosts Prestigious International Conference

On April 29-30, an international conference dedicated to the 1155th anniversary of Abu Mansur Maturidi will be held in the city of Samarkand. The international conference, titled "Maturidism – The Doctrine of Tolerance, Moderation, and Enlightenment," has been prepared at the highest level.
